Description

ANR Group Inc is recruiting students currently enrolled in Environmental Science  who is interested in a summer internship opportunity with Hanford Mission Integration Solutions on the Hanford site in Richland,  WA.

 

This internship is open to students with any class standing that can be available for summer internship.  This position is a full-time internship.  The schedule is Monday-  Thursday,  6 a.m.  to 4:30 p.m.  The hourly rate for this position is $22.76 per hour for Graduating High School Seniors/Freshman/Sophomores,  $23.72 per hour for Juniors,  and $26.03 per hour for Seniors/recent college graduates.

Responsibilities

Duties:

Intern will work for the Environmental Field Support (EFS)  organization.   The intern will be primarily supporting Site inspection and compliance activities for EFS.   Additionally,  the intern may be assigned other duties consisting of environmental compliance administrative and field support items.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the internship.
  • Completed at least two quarters/semesters of college education prior to the internship.
  • Enrolled as a full-time student (12+  credit hours)  during the two quarters/semesters immediately preceding the start of the internship. 
  • Must possess an active Washington State driver’s license.
  • Requires excellent written,  oral,  and listening skills
  • Ability to engage and establish positive working relationships with others
  • Applicants must be able to follow instructions,  work independently and unsupervised
  • Must be able to perform multiple job tasks simultaneously to effectively manage assignments,  support initiatives,  and contract deliverables
  • Process project archives for Regulatory Agency Inspection Database (RAID),  including organizing,  maintaining,  and retiring files
  • Ability to identify issues,  collect data,  establish facts,  draw conclusions,  and make decisions within the boundaries of established procedures.
  • Must be able to perform regular indoor/outdoor field activities including walking in rough terrain,  climbing stairs,  and following company safety and procedural requirements
  • Proficient in intermediate computer tasks and comfortable using Microsoft Excel,  Word,  PowerPoint,  Outlook,  and various database systems
  • Must be able to attain a DOE badge and be able to drive government vehicles
  • Perform work with a focus on safeguarding employees,  the public,  and the environment
  • At times the intern will need to wear PPE (i.e.  safety boots,  hard hat,  vest,  gloves,  and safety glasses)

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree
