About Integrated Tax Services

At Integrated Tax Services,  we’re more than just tax preparation professionals and accountants.  We’re number translators.  Numbers are an integral part of everyone’s life story and woven into all facets of life.  And,  for many,  it’s confusing and daunting.  We untangle the complicated and build relationships with our clients to help them understand what the numbers mean and how it affects their life story.

 

We are offering an exciting paid intern opportunity where you will:

  • Learn to analyze and research client issues and complete income tax returns.
  • Further develop individual tax return preparation skills for high net-worth individuals.
  • Learn to communicate with clients.
  • Learn how to assemble a tax return and walk client through the outcome.
  • Understand project management in relation to tax preparation.
  • Learn how to organize tax documents and input into system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in personal tax preparation and client correspondence.
  • Learn the process and procedures of the Personal Tax Department.
  • Perform basic data entry for tax returns,  utilizing internal systems and processes to track projects,  make appropriate notes,  and ensure preparation of returns are completed in a timely manner.
  • Work with client managers to correspond with clients regarding information needed and communicating the status of their tax return.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in related field.
  • Some related experience,  internship,  and/or training in a business environment.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Office,  especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Multitasking skills as well as the ability to prioritize work without assistance.
  • Strong communication skills with emphasis on both oral and written communication when dealing with clients and other team members.
  • Ability to work at a sustained pace while producing quality work.
  • Understanding of tax terminology.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients,  regulatory agencies,  or members of the business community.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,  interest,  commissions,  proportions,  percentages,  future value,  and present value.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written,  oral,  diagram,  or schedule form.
