**Preference given to NEXT program participants**

The Sales &  Partnerships intern will be responsible for all aspects of sales and generating partnership revenue for the Vancouver Volcanoes.   They will focus primarily on prospecting new clients through phone calls,  emails,  in person visits,  and networking events to generate partnership interest from clients.   Sales materials will be provided as well as closing support from the Director of Sales and Partnerships for each new lead you generate.  

Responsibilities

    • Actively seek new business partners using existing marketing campaigns,  telemarketing,  e-mail,  site visits,  and other methods
    • Provide sales support and customer service to new &  current clients
    • Generate new business 
    • Effectively communicate value propositions and opportunities through presentations and proposals.
    • Track and record all efforts into Sales spreadsheet to make sure we are not spamming previous efforts
    • Report all relevant feedback from the community and businesses  

Qualifications

  • Interest or experience in related fields of Marketing,  Business,  Sales,  Communications or Sports Management 
  • Minimal experience in sales and marketing with some experience in sports entertainment industry
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices for a sales department (preferred)
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and software,  including Microsoft Word and Excel or Google docs and sheets
  • Outstanding communication skills,  both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership,  communication,  and organizational skills
  • Team player willing to lead and take other employees under their wing
