ANR Group Inc is recruiting students currently enrolled in Electrical Engineering for a summer internship opportunity with Hanford Laboratory Management and Integration on the Hanford site in Richland,  WA.

This internship is open to students with Junior or Senior class standing that can be available for a 12-to-14-week internship that may be extended for the full year.  This position is a full-time,  40 hour per week internship.  The schedule is Monday-  Thursday,  6 a.m.  to 4:30 p.m.  The hourly rate for this position is $24.15 per hour for Juniors and $26.46 per hour for Seniors.

Duties:

The scope of this work is to assist the 222S Engineering Manager in the upgrades of several laboratory rooms and replacement of the 219S pump and agitator motor as well as other high priority upgrades requiring electrical engineering assistance. 

Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the internship.
  • Junior or Senior class standing,  fulltime students (12+  credit hours)  during the two quarters/semesters immediately preceding the start of the internship or a recent college graduate.
  • Junior or Senior level BSEE program.  Completion of Junior level electrical circuits core class and or motors lab work.  General knowledge of industrial electrical systems,  terminology of electrical components and industry standard commercial voltage ranges.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous field work with low and medium voltage electrical components.
  • Knowledge of proper electrical isolation processes.
  • Knowledge of low voltage instrument wiring (methods theory).
  • Knowledge of AC motor theory,  types,  installations,  and testing.
  • General knowledge of the National Electrical Code or NFPA-70.
