Are you passionate about sustainable agriculture and dreaming of running your own farm one day?  Join us atDilish Farm as a Farm Intern and embark on a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to manage your own farm successfully.  This immersive hands-on experience will provide you with invaluable insights into all aspects of farm operation,  from crop cultivation to business management.

Responsibilities

Crop Cultivation:  Learn and participate in all stages of crop production,  including planting,  watering,  weeding,  and harvesting.

Livestock Care:  Gain experience in caring for Hens,  including feeding,  health monitoring,  and pasture management.

Infrastructure Maintenance:  Assist in maintaining farm infrastructure such as fences,  irrigation systems,  and buildings to ensure optimal functionality.

Business Management:  Learn about the business side of farming,  including budgeting,  marketing,  and customer relations.

Record-Keeping:  Develop skills in record-keeping and farm data analysis to track crop yields,  expenses,  and our Stewardship program.

Equipment Operation:  (If applicable)Receive training in the safe and efficient operation of farm machinery and equipment.

Problem-Solving:  Develop problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise in daily farm operations,  such as pest management or irrigation issues.

Sustainability Practices:  Gain knowledge of sustainable farming practices and techniques,  including organic farming principles,  soil health management,  and water conservation.

Qualifications

Passion for agriculture and a strong desire to learn about sustainable farming practices.

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and learn independently.

Basic understanding of farming principles or previous experience in agriculture is beneficial but not required.
